The best thing about taking both steam train photos and wildlife photos is that there is always somthing to go at. From now untill spring is the best time for steam railway photography as the super heated steam does not get absorbed into the atmosphere as in the hot weather. On clear sharp days the plumes of white steam enhance the photographs. No butterfly or dragonfly photographs from now on but the cold weather is something to look forward to as it brings the wintering birds in from the Arctic Cirlce. I am still looking forward to it! The weather has been poor for the steam trains yet too warm to bring the wintering bidrs in!
